1. Spicy Paloma Drink

Let’s kick things off with one of my all-time favorite Tequila beverages, the Spicy Paloma. I might even take it over water! It’s a common misconception that Spicy Paloma Drinks have to be costly.
Especially when crafting at home. Embrace National Tequila Day 2025 by preparing this delightful drink!
Ingredients for Jalapeño Syrup
- 1 cup Jalapeño
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
Ingredients for Paloma
- 2 cups Lime Wedges
- Coarse Salt
- 3 ounces Grapefruit Juice
- 1 ounce Jalapeño Syrup
- 1 ounce Tequila
- Sparkling Water
Method
- Begin by gently simmering the ingredients for the Jalapeño syrup in a saucepan over low heat.
- Once thickened, turn off the heat and let it cool.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Take a glass and run a lime wedge around its rim.
- Invert it onto a plate of salt to create a salted rim.
- Add the jalapeño syrup, tequila, and grapefruit juice into the glass.
- Top off with sparkling water, garnish with a lime wedge, and your homemade Spicy Paloma is ready!
2. Margarita

Don’t tell me you’re marking National Tequila Day without the quintessential margarita. With countless variations, each looks Instagram-ready. This classic has both aesthetic appeal and deliciousness.
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt
- Ice
- 1 Medium Lime
- 1 ounce Orange Liqueur Blanco
- 1 ½ ounces Silver Tequila
- ½ ounce Agave Nectar or Simple Syrup
Method
- Start by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim of a glass.
- Then, invert it onto a plate topped with salt for a beautiful salted edge.
- Next, combine 1 ounce of orange liqueur blanco, 1 ½ ounces of silver tequila, and ½ ounce of agave nectar in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake well.
- Strain into the prepared glass and enjoy.
3. Ranch Rose

If I don’t feel like using a cocktail shaker, I go for the Ranch Rose. It’s a bright pink, refreshing drink that lasts forever. Who needs roses when you can gift yourself a delightful tequila concoction instead?
Ingredients
- 1½ ounces Blanco Tequila
- ¾ ounce Lillet Rosé
- ½ ounce Blood Orange Syrup (such as Liquid Alchemist)
- 1 ounce Lime Juice, strained from 2 limes
- Ice
- 2 ounces Sparkling Water (such as Topo Chico)
- Dried Rose Petals
Method
- Combine 1 ½ ounces of blanco tequila, ¾ ounce Lillet, ½ ounce of blood orange syrup, and 1 ounce of lime juice in a glass.
- Add the sparkling water.
- Load it with ice.
- Finish by garnishing with dried rose petals for a chic touch.
